DemandTec Names Industry Veteran Michael Bromme Senior Vice President – Worldwide Retail Sales

SAN CARLOS, Calif. – September 30, 2008 – DemandTec, Inc. (NASDAQ: DMAN), a leading provider of on-demand optimization solutions for retailers and consumer products manufacturers, today announced that Michael Bromme has been promoted to senior vice president of worldwide retail sales effective immediately. Mr. Bromme reports to Dan Fishback, DemandTec’s president and chief executive officer.

Bromme, who most recently served as vice president of retail sales for the Americas, was instrumental in building DemandTec’s current base of retail customers. He now also assumes responsibility for retail sales in the Asia-Pacific and EMEA markets.

For the past four years at DemandTec, he has leveraged his technology, commercial, and leadership skills to drive customer growth and expand our customer relationships. Bromme joined DemandTec in September of 2004 as vice president of North American sales. He previously held retail technology sales executive positions at Retek (now Oracle retail), MicroStrategy and Tandem (now a part of Hewlett-Packard). Bromme also has specific price optimization experience at Spotlight Solutions (now Oracle) and IDeaS (now owned by SAS).
