Resource Area for Teachers (RAFT)

October 1st, 2008 – 50+ employees from DemandTec’s Professional Service department participated in organizing donated materials and assembling science and math kits to serve local teachers in the Silicon Valley area. RAFT is a philanthropic organization that believes hands-on teaching is the best way for children to learn, so they provide teachers and community groups with creative tools and materials to promote hands-on teaching in science, math, technology, and art. Everyday items like computers, office supplies, and manufacturing by-products are donated to RAFT by over 1,000 local businesses and transformed into hands-on teaching experiences.

Family Giving Tree - Back-to-School Drive

As part of our commitment to help low income children succeed academically, this year DemandTec and its employees have participated in the Bay Area, CA Family Giving Tree Back-to-School Drive.

In four Bay Area Counties, 227,826 children are enrolled in the California Free or Reduced Lunch Program. This year DemandTec helped fill over 110 backpacks, with age-appropriate school supplies, to be delivered to these low-income children (grades K–12) giving them the tools they need to succeed.
