Junior Software Engineer (JJSE)

Position Responsibilities:

DemandTec is searching for an enthusiastic Junior Software Engineer to join our top-notch development team. If you are that person, you'll help us continue to improve and innovate our Software as a Service (SaaS) applications.

The Junior Software Engineer works closely with senior developers, architects, Product Management, and other engineers to design and implement new features and new core capabilities in DemandTec’s application suite.

Required Skill Set:

• 1-3 years building software for a web environment
• Proficiency with Java coding and debugging skills
• Good programming practices with solid object-oriented development experience
• Proficiency in SQL
• Strong analytical and problem solving skills
• Familiarity with Linux and Windows operating environments
• Familiarity with automated build and test tools and methods

• Able to set priorities and undertake complex tasks with minimal supervision
• Strong written and verbal communication skills

Required Education:

• Bachelor's degree and or Masters in Computer Science or equivalent work experience.

Desired Skill Set:

• Proficiency with scripting languages, such as Ruby and Python
• Experience with web services
• Experience with performance and scalability testing methods
